Pre-Cut Sauna Kits require that you frame up your own walls and provide your own insulation. Tongue and Groove boards from the kit are provided to attached to the inside framing of your room.

Question: What is the floor made of on the Avalon outdoor sauna.
Answer: The is no sub floor in the Avalon outdoor sauna or any of the other outdoor saunas. You need to provide a water proof level pad. A removable Super Dek matting will be provided for the walking area on the inside of the sauna.
Question: Is the standard rough sawn mahogany exterior wall covering capable of withstanding outdoor environments?
Answer: Yes, rough sawn mahogany and the western red cedar exterior wood options will both hold up well for outdoor saunas. Notice that it is important to make sure that all exterior wall covering material is treated with a water sealant to help prolong the life and beauty of the sauna.
Question: Does the rough-sawn mahogany of the Avalon Sauna hold up to most weather conditions?
Answer: Yes, but you will need to seal it with your brand of waterseal or stain and protect with a poly-urethane as needed. You can upgrade to Western Red Cedar on exterior but that will need protection as well. |
